Office of Departure & Destination

Presentation, sealing and discharge at UK customs offices

Every transit movement begins at an office of departure, where goods and the transit declaration are presented to customs, and ends at an office of destination, where the movement is discharged. UK offices of departure and destination include Dover, Folkestone, Felixstowe, Harwich, Holyhead, Liverpool, Tilbury and inland clearance depots.

We coordinate the full presentation process: arranging customs sealing where required, submitting the arrival notification at destination, and ensuring the movement is discharged in NCTS so your transit guarantee is released. Failure to discharge means your guarantee remains tied up — we make sure that doesn't happen.

How It Works

  1. 1Coordinate presentation at office of departure
  2. 2Arrange customs sealing if required
  3. 3Submit arrival notification at office of destination
  4. 4Discharge movement in NCTS and release guarantee
